_ Starting Breathe Ease – Questions and Comments

                                                                                                        Questions

“Will Breathe Ease work on my horse?”
I created Breathe Ease in 1998 and have had a success rate of about 86 %. With that said, there have been horses where Breathe Ease has not helped.

“When will I see improvement”?
From the feedback from other customers SOME have seen the start of "improvement" in 3-5 days, while most have seen improvement closer to a month. By the time most have tried Breathe Ease, the horse is in “BAD SHAPE”. Most have tried steroids, drugs and other therapies. Horses with COPD, exercise-induced cough, stable cough have really responded using Breathe Ease BUT it may take some time. Breathe Ease will greatly decrease the "hard breathing"

“Does this product have a money back guarantee”?
I do not think there is anything (drugs, supplements, therapies…) that works on everyone or everything, whether for people, horses, dogs….. With that said, people who have used Breathe Ease as suggested and given it “a chance to work”, have never asked for a refund! Maybe the Breathe Ease did not completely eliminate the problem but it had improved the horse.

“Can I use other products with with Breathe Ease”?
Yes, there has never been any type of problem or reaction with other products or treatments butyou should stop any other breathing products. Not because there will be a problem (reaction) but you want to be sure of the reason, why your horse is “getting better”. Is it the Breathe Ease, the other product or the combination of all?

“I think I will have to put him back on the steroid and am now wondering if he should remain on Breathe Ease also”?
You can use both the steroid & Breathe Ease at the same time but it is costly and the Breathe Ease should get the same response as the steroid.

I once tried another product(……) and she got the runs in two day so I had to take her off it.
There has NEVER been a complaint of any type of reaction or problem with Breathe Ease.

“My horse is very picky, will he eat his feed with Breathe Ease in it”?
Most horses “jump right into their tub” but there are some “picky eaters”. From my own experience and customer feedback, try a little molasses, corn oil or a squirt of liquid vitamins (sweet tasting).

Since she only has trouble in the spring is it ok to take her off in the winter?
Most customers do just that but there is not a problem if your horse stays on year-round.

She has been diagnosed with COPD and is only really bad in the summer when it gets really hot.
Many of our customers have the same problem. Although there is not a problem if you use it year-round (except $$), use it at times of stress, hot/humid weather, poor hay, dusty barn or paddocks…..Increasing the dose for “tough times”.

...thanks for you interest in my horse. I have been meaning to E-mail you. I had mentioned that I wasn't having success with your product. I have found out the reason. My horse was misdiagnosed with COPD. A different Vet has been working with me and found infection in her glottal pouch. She is being treated with antibiotics and is doing much better. I am relieved that it is not COPD and that her condition is now being properly treated. If her breathing had been affected I think your product would have been good.

...I'm not sure if the product is working well yet or not. He's had difficulty breathing anyway and I had to add back in the steroids and Ventipulmin for a little while, but now seems to have settled down I think. He does have a lot of allergies that were documented before we got him.

...thanks for checking in, the horse ate it no problems. Only glitch, she has full blown heaves, beyond your product's capability and required some IM treatment to help her along.

...the product took about a week to reduce the cough significantly and by a month it was completely gone. Unfortunately, during the past two rides the cough has returned to a problematic level. Should I increase his daily dosage? The package instructions say to give 2 scoops before a performance. Since he is a backyard trail horse it is difficult to tell when I will, ride him, can the extra dosage be given that morning or a certain amount of hours before going on a ride?

...thanks for checking in. Yes, I am happy with the Breathe Ease. My mare eats it just fine. I feed her Dengie HiFi in the evenings rather than hay and we just put the Breathe Ease right on top of that (we feed the Dengie in a bucket). She doesn't get much grain so it is hard to feed powdered supplements in her grain. I board her so she gets hay in the morning when turned out with the rest of the horses.

I definitely feel that her resting respiratory rate has improved since we started the Breathe Ease.

….my horse was diagnosed with COPD. His condition was so bad he actually would pull the reins from my gloved hands. The product worked so well I forgot he had a cough.

...thanks for checking. The product was working very well up until the last month when the humidity has really kicked in. I have had to start my mare back on Dex as needed.
I am going to try giving an am and pm does of Breathe Ease and see if that helps. Is that a problem to do?

...I do have a question on dosage- I'm not sure how much it's helping. His nasal wheezing is increasing as the weather is warming and the winds increase. Is it possible to increase from 1 scoop per day to see if there's a better effect? How much would be too much regardless of the symptoms?

Breathe Ease is safe to “increase the amount” during times of stress, with severe/difficult “cases”, you might have to be “more” aggressive, increase the amount (1 heaping scoop twice @ day), do this for 7-10 days, when you start to see an improvement, then you can slowly cut back the amount (1 scoop twice @ day, ½ scoop twice @ day….).

...I think your product was good. My mare had pneumonia and I was trying to supplement her breathing as we got back into work, I still have several doses left. I need to go off it for a week or so and see if there is any decline in her breathing in order to better assess whether she needs it or if she is indeed totally healed from her infection. If I see any change in her air/exercise tolerance I plan to order it and keep her on it.

I understand with the hot weather the US is having this summer. I had to increase the amount I am giving my horse, because of the hot and humid weather we are having...

...we haven't seen much improvement though we haven't seen improvement with anything including steroids. He does really likes it though so we will give more time I know the herbals can take a little longer to take affect.

...thank you for the email. Still waiting to see how well it works. We have been using it for about a week and there may be a slight improvement. Not sure but hope to know for sure within another week. I hope it helps. She has summer allergies and we want to help as much as we can. If you have any suggestions to helping it work better, please let me know. We started her out with it in her feed with a little molasses dribbled over it to make it more acceptable. Now we no longer have to add the molasses.

...I wish I could say that the product really helped my horse, but unfortunately that is not the case. I am not blaming the product. My horse has a chronic breathing problem and nothing seems to help, I have had her on steroids but as we know she cannot continue with these. I was really hoping the Breath Ease would be the answer. Any advice that you could offer me on her problems would be greatly appreciated, the vet and myself are getting pretty frustrated.

...What is the best way to feed it? My stud eats around it, I have tried to stick it to the grain with mineral oil, light corn syrup and water any suggestions? Thanks

Some customers and I have used a little molasses or a squirt of liquid vitamins (sweet tasting).

..My mare likes the Breath Ease supplement. I figured it will take about a month to see improvement. She developed COPD after Hurricane Ike last year. The hard breathing came back this July. I've been giving Albuterol. So I really hope this works. Do you have any suggestions on how long before I might see results.

...I'm not sure if I can appropriately answer your question about the Breathe ease. I can say the first week I used only Breathe Ease and saw absolutely no change @ all, the horse was still coughing continuously. So I also soaked her hay and sprayed the stall down to be sure the shavings were dust free. I did use your product for almost 3 weeks, however wetting the hay worked just as well. So using Breathe Ease alone didn't work but wetting the hay alone did. So, in all honesty I can't say your product works.

...I only used one container which lasted only about 10 days as my horse weighs about 1750 lbs...did not notice improvement.
